What is the Alexander Technique?

 

To a great extent, it is not external circumstances that cause stress, but the way we react to them. Without even realising, we tend to react in habitual, unhealthy ways to all kinds of situations and provocations. We lose our natural poise and rhythm, and this becomes manifested in stress, back pain, exhaustion and a host of other problems.

The Alexander Technique is a no-nonsense method of self-discovery. By becoming more aware of our habits and reactions and co-ordination on every level, we regain our natural rhythm and attain poise and effortless.

The Alexander Technique is not an end in itself but a tool that helps us work and play more effortlessly and enjoyably, and remain balanced, integrated and alert.
